Frequently asked questions
What is on site massage?
A traditional Japanese acupressure sequence that includes the neck, shoulders, back, arms, hands and scalp. On-site massage uses no oils and is performed through clothes. Because it's on-site you will be back at your desk in 25 minutes
What are the benefits to my organisation?
On-site massage promotes good health and posture empowering the employee to take responsibility for their health and well-being decreasing ill-health. Negative stress is managed; the employee will feel better so cope better increasing performance and productivity. Energy levels are boosted; muscle tension is relieved so reducing the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. Employers choosing to provide this service are taking positive action increasing morale and motivation therefore reducing costly staff turnover.
Where does the massage take place?
A small room is required, this allows the employee to fully benefit from the time away from their desk and maximise the positive effects.
How will I feel after the massage?
The massage has increased circulation and released muscle tension. The finishing sequence includes brisk movements to stimulate and invigorate. The individual will experience increased energy and will generally feel better.
What qualification, experience and insurance do the practitioners have?
All practitioners are qualified to level 3 massage and anatomy & physiology. All practitioners have current first aid certificates and insurance.
How much does it cost?
The cost is based on the number of individuals taking part. Some companies subsidise the whole cost whilst other make contribution thereby reducing the cost to the employee. One practitioner can massage three people per hour. Our rates are competitive and are based on an individual treatment costing £15.00.
Can everybody receive on-site massage?
On-site massage is suitable for most people. Individuals who are pregnant or planning to be or undergoing cancer treatment would not be able to receive on-site massage. A consultation is taken before each treatment to ensure that it is appropriate.
